The Mountie MakerSpace is a 4,000-square-foot building outfitted for collaborative and innovative projects in woodworking, metalworking, arts, and digital fabrication. Equipped with a wide variety of machinery, the facility is open to students and staff to use on their class, research, do-it-yourself, and hobbyist projects. Just some of the equipment includes 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, laser cutter, sewing station, and hand and power tools; a wood shop featuring a table saw, miter saw, sanders, bandsaws, and a CNC router; and a metal shop that boasts three lathes, three mills (one CNC), welding rigs, a CNC plasma cutter, and more.
Walking Directions:
- From main campus, cross the bridge east of building 26, between 67A and 69, cross Lot F, and look for the driveway to Farm Rd.
- Alternatively, from main campus go to the north side of Buildings 78/79 and follow Walnut Rd east. Cross Bonita Dr, and continue to the second driveway on the left (Farm Rd).Once at that driveway, turn into that driveway, and the MakerSpace will be the first building on the left.
- The entrance is a person-sized gate in the south side of the chain-link fence surrounding the east yard.
